"I am so thankful to have stumbled upon Cali almost 4 1/2 years ago, when my daughter was about 3 months old. I really hadn't even thought about professional photographs for my newborn daughter until talking with another first time mother. She recommended Cali and showed me the pictures she had taken. We booked our session with Cali and were very happy with the pictures she took. She made taking pictures with a fussy baby stress free. Cali is very good with babies/children and very sensitive to the needs of her clients. We have now seen Cali every 6 months for mini sessions for the past 4 years, and she also took pictures of my son at 3 months (who is now 2yrs old). "I have been lucky enough to know Cali and have her as a "go-to" for all of my sweet son's pictures. She is wonderful with children and babies so I was more than confident that she would handle him with care as a newborn. I had my worries that he would cry or fuss as two week old babies do, but Cali has a touch with newborns that kept him calm all through the shoot. She lulled him into a relaxed state and managed to capture sweet moments that I can and will always smile back on. She took my three month photo shoot and recently came to take his 6 months pictures. She got shots I didn't know could exist! It is wonderful to have her come to my home where Jackson is comfortable. The pictures are genuine and gorgeous. ​"Cali has been photographing my family for several years now. I am always amazed at her work--she has captured the growth of my two little girls, beautifully. When I found out I was pregnant with my third... I knew right away I wanted Cali to photograph the birth. Like most mothers, I (including my husband) were a little nervous about having someone photograph our birth--would she get to much? would it be awkward? would she capture the birth in a way that I wanted to remember it? On that sunny April day, Cali met my husband and I at the hospital. She stayed the whole labor, birth and post birth. Looking back, I can not imagine her NOT being there. It wasn't about someone capturing my newborn born getting weighed for the first time... it was about capturing the whole process. Start to finish. I am not sure if there is anything more empowering (to a woman) then seeing photos of herself in labor. Seeing herself nurse her baby for the first time. Most often, birth is viewed as painful, hard, something that you do not want to remember...Cali's photos are proof that birth is beautiful from the first contraction to the last. Two weeks after the birth, Cali came to our house for our son's newborn photo shoot. I was amazed how well she worked with my fragile newborn... kept him warm with a portable heater and made sure she was getting shots that we wanted. It was a fabulous way to close the chapter of the prior nine months. Truly, there are no words to describe how thankful we are for Cali's work. ​​"I chose Cali for my maternity, postpartum, and newborn shoots, and I'm so glad I did! Not only is she a very talented photographer, but I swear she's a baby whisperer too! She was so patient and loving with my newborn, he was so calm and comfortable letting her position him in many perfect poses. For the newborn shoot, she came to our home equipped with everything to turn his room into a temporary little studio, which was so convenient for us. "Cali is absolutely a dream to work with. She froze her toosh off with my fiance' and I in October at the Jersey Shore, and didn't complain one time. She was all over the place, up and down slides at the playground, in the sand on the beach, laying on the pavement and hanging off ledges just trying to capture the perfect shot. My fiance was not very entertained with the thought of us having our pictures taken, but Cali helped us both relax and have sooo much fun. "I am so glad that I used Cali's photography services for my maternity and newborn photo shoots. As for the maternity shoot, she came totally prepared with patience, creativity, and props! She knew how to deal with and include my puppy in the shoot as well as make my husband and I feel comfortable and confident when feeling a bit silly at times. A few months later when she returned for our newborn session, I never wanted her to leave because I swore she was a baby whisperer! She set up a beautiful background and a space heater to make our new little bundle as cozy and calm as possible. She was completely accommodating letting me feed and change the baby when needed.
